What is Viagra

0

Viagra is a very popular drug available in pill form by prescription and used to treat erectile dysfunction and pulmonary arterial hypertension,  although it was originally developed by Pfizer to use as a treatment for hypertension and angina. Purely by chance during clinical trials it was discovered that the drug Sildenafil Citrate could actually produce erections.

Viagra was launched onto the market in a perfect storm of conditions. The timing was right, the price was right, the market was more than ready for a product that worked so well.

Because of the success and popularity of Viagra worldwide, there have been many knock offs and copycat products produced, not all of which work properly or are safe to use. Two of the most successful drugs that work in a similar fashion to Viagra include Tadalafil, which is also called Cialis, and Vardenafil which most people know as Levitra.
